Hello!
Who am I?
My name is Anaya and I was born in Barbados. I now live in Tasmania and I am studying a Bachelor of Arts. I have a number of hobbies which started because I spent a lot of time alone (cue sad music) and I needed something to do, so, came my numerous hobbies.
I grew up in church and have always loved Jesus. I always say my journey was boring, which is not a problem at all but I love to hear testimonies that are so moving and powerful that they put a pep in your faithful step. I’ve never strayed from my faith although sometimes I’m not as disciplined as I should be and I let life get in the way of sitting down and connecting with God. I’d like to read the whole Bible, front to back, all 66 books, preferably this year. I’ll try my best to update on how that is going.
My hobbies
Anything artsy has always been my area of expertise. I started drawing, painting, jewellery making and doing craft at a young age. I got really into origami when I was ten which didn’t last long because folding paper can actually be really complicated and I just cry.
I’m also a musician. I sing, play the guitar and I also know a bit of theory. I don’t practice as much as I should but I’ll continue to put that on my new years resolution every year. I will get it right… eventually.
My most recent passion is photography. I started teaching myself in 2022 on my mom’s old Sony Cybershot, which I still use! I got my first semi professional camera also in 2022 then I invested in my current more professional camera late 2023.
I love writing and reading which led me to start this blog. The name of the blog, Life Thru My Lense is kind of an explanation of what I want this blog to be about. Putting my love of photography together with my love for writing and showing you my life through my camera lens. I hope you enjoy viewing as I enjoy sharing with you :).
